3. Young age

Teens who just begun menstruating often have irregular cycles. During puberty, women may have shorter or longer menstrual cycles, leading to two periods in one month. During puberty, hormone levels fluctuate. A young person menstrual cycle may take 6 years to become regular after they begin having periods.
